How we pick
Every current deal gets points. The highest score wins. Ties go to the bigger dollar saving. The ladies' pick comes from ladies' gear plus unisex items (balls, bags, trolleys, rangefinders). The men's pick comes from men's gear plus unisex items. The same item is never picked for both.
| Rule | Points |
|---|
| % off the store's own "was" price | +1 per % (capped at 70) |
| Lowest price in our own tracked history* | +10 |
| Below our own 90-day average price* | +1 per % below (max +10) |
| We've tracked it more than 5% cheaper before* | -10 |
| In stock according to the store | +5 |
| Recognised brand (Callaway, TaylorMade, Titleist, PING, Cobra, Mizuno, Srixon, FootJoy, ECCO and so on) | +5 |
| Club or golf tech (not shoes, clothing, bags, balls, gloves or trolleys) | +5 |
| Shoes, clothing, bag or glove with only one size/colour left | -10 |
| Low-value item, under $40 (a sleeve of balls or a single glove shouldn't top the day) | -10 |
| Used / shop-soiled / ex-demo (always labelled) | -15 / -10 / -5 |
| Caution note on the card (older model, old launch RRP) | -10 |
| Unisex item (balls, bags, trolleys, tech) in the men's or ladies' pick, so gender-specific gear wins unless the unisex deal is clearly better | -5 |
* History rules switch on once we have at least 3 checks over 14+ days for that item. Our tracking started Fri 23 Oct 2026, so these don't apply yet.
Never picked: anything not found in the latest check, "from" prices that vary by option, prices last checked more than 8 days ago, and anything picked in the last 14 days (in either pick). Each morning we re-check the top 4 candidates for each pick on the store's site. A deal only becomes a pick if it's still in stock at the same price or lower. If no ladies' or men's deal passes, that pick is left out for the day. Stores never pay to be picked.
